Does Smart Diet Scale sync with other fitness apps and nutritional databases such as My Fitness Pal, Fitbit, or Apple health?
Not yet, however, the Smart Diet Scale app is so easy to use that we find many people use our app in conjunction with other apps. Give it a try!
How do I know if the smart diet scale Bluetooth is sync with app
Notice the four colored squares displayed in this photo if you see the four-color squares your scale is now sync with the app. Now place food on one of the quadrants on the scale the weight of the food on the scale will display in one of the four-color quadrants on the app. Then select your food in the app and the app will automatically display the correct nutritional information based on weight.

How does the Smart Diet Scale weigh four separate food items on a normal plate all at once?
The Smart Diet Scale’s patented technology allows you to do this. This is one of the cool features that separates us from everybody else! Our Patented weight sensors will weigh each separate item on your plate individually, then display the weight of each item from your plate on the four displays.
You can also use our exclusive Smart Diet Plates to help visualize and control your portions. Moreover, you can also use the Smart Diet Scale without any plates.
I understand the Smart Diet Scale has four separate weighing quadrants, but do I also have the ability to weigh one large item? (Example: a large steak)
Yes, you can place a large food item, such as a steak, on the Smart Diet Scale and our Smart Technology will only display the weight of that item.
Can I add specific food which is not part of your database to the app?
If there is a specific food which is not in our database, we do have the ability to add it. Just send an email via the Nutritionix Contact Page and Nutritionix; who manages our food database, will add the food within 2-3 business days.
POWER QUESTIONS:
How often should I change the four AA batteries?
We recommend once a year or depending on your usage.
Will the scale turn off automatically to save battery life if not in use or if I forget to turn off the scale after use?
1) After two minutes of non-use, the Smart diet scale will turn off automatically.
2) Smart Diet Scale also has a light dimming program. After 20 seconds of non-use, its display will dim but the scale will not turn off. All you need to do is place another item on the scale and the display will light up again. Please watch https://youtu.be/FCRRy62TPlo
What is BEST power source to use with Smart Diet Scale?
We recommend using 4 fresh brand-new AA batteries for best and optimal long term use. Smart Diet Scale also comes with a USB power cord.
The USB power cord which is included is it to charge the batteries in the scale.
No. There are no rechargeable batteries in the Smart Diet Scale. You must use 4 AA alkaline batteries or you can use the supplied USB power cord.

Which nutrients does the Smart Diet Scale app currently track?
Calories, proteins, carbohydrates, fiber, sugar, total fat, saturated fat, trans fat, cholesterol, sodium, vitamin A, vitamin C, Iron, and calcium.
Can I still add food to my meals log if I did not weigh the food items? Example: if I decided to go out to eat or I ate something without weighing it.
Yes, our huge restaurant database has meals, with serving size and nutritional information, all you need to do is add it, just as you would a food choice. Our app also has preselected and pre-weighted food choices which you can choose from as a standard.
Can I create a custom dish and then save it?

If I was preparing a dish how would I know the calories per serving in this specific dish?
You would weigh and add to the database each ingredient of your meal, once the dish is prepared you can weigh each individual portion of your meal which will give you a more accurate nutritional value for each serving. How do I track my past meals on the Smart Diet Scale app?
Smart Diet Scale's app keeps a chronological order of time and date for each meal you create which you can refer back to indefinitely.
